About Mike Cole

Mike Cole writes and orchestrates scores for film, television and interactive media. With a career in the music business spanning fifteen years as a composer and orchestrator, Cole is a reliable collaborator whose work successfully complements many diverse projects. Utilizing his musical training and knowledge of the moving image, Mike Cole is able to come up with a sound that enhances the underlying aesthetic of the project and keeps the dramatic flow moving at the same time. In addition to scoring for media, Cole has led an active career as a concert composer and performer.

Educated at Bennington College, with a Master's Degree from New York University, Mike Cole has written an opera entitled The Sacrifice of Isaac and several symphonic works including Spirit Worlds, which was recently performed by the Bucharest Orchestra in 2004. He continues to write music in all genres including jazz, pop and chamber music. As a performer, Cole frequently gives concerts on the lute and guitar including most recently a series of lute recitals scheduled for the fall of 2008. Mike Cole is an active member of The American Federation of Musicians, The International Documentary Association, A.S.C.A.P, The Game Audio Network Guild, and Tribe Hollywood as well as being a 2004 A.S.C.A.P. Buddy Baker participant.
